Phase Two: Expanding Our Mission and Rebuilding Hope

katie2791

When we first arrived in Swannanoa, NC, the devastation left by Hurricane Helene was overwhelming. Families were left with nothing—no homes, no stability, and no clear path forward. What began as a goal to build just 10 emergency shelters quickly grew into something much bigger than we ever imagined. With faith, determination, and an outpouring of support, we have now completed 101 structures, providing families with a safe place to begin again.

But our mission doesn’t stop here.

What Phase Two Means

As we move into Phase Two, we are shifting our focus from emergency relief to long-term rebuilding. The need is still immense, and while the shelters we built provided immediate relief, we know that families need more than temporary housing—they need homes, businesses, and community support to truly recover.

This is why we are expanding our mission into Hot Springs, NC, where we will continue:

🏠 Building More Shelters – The demand for emergency housing is still high, and we will continue constructing shelters for families in crisis.

🔨 Rebuilding Homes & Businesses – We are moving into the next phase of construction, working to restore permanent homes and local businesses so that communities can rebuild their lives.

💙 Mental Health & Community Support – Recovery is not just about structures—it’s about healing from the traumaof losing everything. We will continue to provide mental health resources, counseling, and a support network to those who need it.

🛒 Expanding the Shed of Hope – Our Shed of Hope has been a critical resource, providing food, hygiene items, clothing, and essentials to those in need. As we move forward, we are committed to ensuring that no family goes without the basic necessities for survival.

Why Hot Springs?

The work we started in Swannanoa has made a life-changing impact, but the reality is there are still so many more families waiting for help. Hot Springs is one of the many areas that still desperately need support, and we are answering the call.

In every town, every county, and every community, we have met families who have lost everything but haven’t lost hope. That’s why we keep going—because we believe in rebuilding not just homes, but lives.

How You Can Help

This mission has never been about one person, one team, or one organization. It has always been about people helping people.

As we begin Phase Two, we need your support more than ever. Here’s how you can make a difference:

🙏 Donate – Your contributions help us provide materials, labor, and resources to continue rebuilding.

🤝 Volunteer – Whether it’s on-site construction, supply distribution, or offering mental health support, every hand makes a difference.

📢 Spread the Word – Awareness is just as powerful as funding. Share our story, follow our journey, and help us reach those who want to be part of something bigger.

The Road Ahead

The work isn’t over, and the road ahead won’t always be easy. There will be challenges, obstacles, and moments of exhaustion. But there will also be victories, families reunited, and lives rebuilt.

We are just getting started.

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this mission—your support, your prayers, and your generosity fuel everything we do.

Phase Two begins now. Let’s keep building hope together.
